Ohayo Gozaimasu!
A big hello to you all from Japan... It's so great to be back here in this wonderful country. I'm on a nationwide tour until the beginning of April managing to be around for the beautiful cherry blossom season too...very good timing :)
I'm currently in Kanazawa, a coastal city (i.e. great seafood!), and have a concert tomorrow evening at a relatively new concert hall -apparently the acoustics are superb so I'm looking forward to it. It's really great to be visiting so many new cities on this tour as it's giving me the opportunity to meet many more people and see many more sights! We took the bullet train through the snowy mountains the other day... A breathtaking journey.
So, before I left for Japan I was on tour around the UK with Jonathan Ansell for our Valentines Tour as well as some re-scheduled 'River Of Dreams' solo concert dates! A lot of fun was had thanks to an awesome band ('Raven', Tim Evans and Andy Moore), fantastic crew and lovely audiences along the way.
Jonathan and I have worked together on a number of one-off occasions and so it was great to finally gather up all the songs we'd either performed or recorded together and take them on The Valentines Tour. We work well together. Similarly, it was great to take my favourite songs from across my four international albums on the road for the 'River Of Dreams Tour'. Plus the odd new song too ;)
Hmm, what else... Well, I was invited to attend the opening of the Royal British Legion's new London offices just before I left for Japan... Oh, and had a nice catch-up with Her Majesty the Queen while I was there! Hehe ;)
Oh, and I just found out that my 'Hayley Sings Japanese Songs 2' album has debuted in the national Japan pop chart at no.16! This is a huge achievement for an international artist so a big thanks to my Japanese (and international too actually!) friends :) I appreciate your support.
Well, I'd better go and get some sleep! Take care everyone....
Much love, speak soon...
Hayley xxx
